JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a counselor, you fill a central function and are an important part of the school's work to promote student security, study environment, and mental health. You provide individual support in psychosocial and motivation-related matters and conduct conversations, assessments, and action plans aimed at strengthening student participation and school attendance. You also collaborate with social services, psychiatry, and other external actors to ensure that students receive comprehensive and professional support. In this role, you work closely with the student welfare team and collaborate closely with both teachers and school leadership, with the goal of creating a school where students thrive, develop, and feel secure. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone trained as a social worker, behavioral scientist, or with another education that the employer considers relevant for the school counselor position. Previous experience working in upper secondary school is a merit. As a person, you are confident, attentive, and have good collaboration skills. You can work independently and structurally while having a strong ability to cooperate with students, colleagues, and guardians. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
