Curator or Psychologist at Reception 1

Description:

Your Workplace Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is the region's specialist resource for children and adolescents with moderate to severe mental health conditions and neuropsychiatric disabilities. Together with other stakeholders in the region, we have the mission to provide equitable, needs-driven, and cost-effective care for children, young people, and their families. Collaboration with families and other actors such as schools and social services is a large and important part of our work. Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is a large workplace with approximately 200 employees with various professional backgrounds. We work in multidisciplinary teams and share joint responsibility for the patients assigned to the team. The patient is clearly our focus. We are now seeking a driven and committed curator or psychologist for Reception 1 – one of our outpatient clinics where we provide specialized care for patients in eastern Värmland. The clinic serves patients from the municipalities of Hammarö, Kristinehamn, Filipstad, and Storfors, as well as parts of Karlstad. Child and Adolescent Psychiatry offers a working environment with great variety, where our multidisciplinary work contributes to daily professional development. We are a multidisciplinary team consisting of a unit manager, team leader, physicians, nurses, psychologists, curators, and healthcare administrators. We are a positive and conscientious team that takes shared responsibility for the clinic's work and works strategically and intentionally to meet existing needs. Your Tasks We are now seeking a curator or psychologist for a temporary position until September 30, 2027, with the possibility of extension. As a curator or psychologist, you are a very important part of the work at Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. You will meet children and young people, both individually and as part of a team, who have conditions such as depression, anxiety disorders, and neuropsychiatric disabilities. Additional issues such as self-harm behaviors, sleep difficulties, substance use, and psychosocial problems also occur. You will be responsible for assessments, developing care plans, rehabilitation interventions, psychoeducation, and parental support. In consultation or collaboration with other professionals, you will also be responsible for evaluation and treatment. Most of the treatment work is conducted independently under supervision. An important part is collaboration with other care providers such as schools and social services. As a new team member at our clinic, you will receive an individually designed orientation program focused on gradually helping you become comfortable in the role. Your Knowledge and Competencies We are seeking someone who is trained as a social worker, licensed psychologist, or has other training that the employer considers appropriate. We consider it advantageous if you are trained as a health and medical care curator and/or have basic psychotherapeutic training in CBT, as well as experience working with children, young people, and their relatives. Since we are committed to finding the right person for the position, we will place great emphasis on personal qualities. To thrive with us, you need to have good collaboration skills since the work involves cooperation both within and outside the organization. For us, it is important that you are clear, structured, and humble in your professional role. You listen, are receptive to the other party, and adapt to the situation. You have the ability to see the bigger picture and act with the entire organization's best interests in mind. A Class B driver's license is required as work-related travel may occur.
