Your Assignment Many people sometimes need extra support when their own network isn't enough. As a contact person, you become an important presence and a source of social support in everyday life. You meet with the person regularly, usually around once a week, and you spend time together through activities based on the individual's needs, interests, and wishes. The assignment can involve anything from walks, coffee breaks, and conversations to shared leisure activities or support in simple everyday situations. The service is provided to people who have been granted a contact person through an assistance decision. As a contact person, you contribute to increased inclusion, community, and security. Through your commitment, you can make a real difference and contribute to a meaningful and fulfilling everyday life for the person you support. What the Assignment Involves As a contact person, you are above all a caring presence who offers social support, community, and meaningful contact in everyday life. The assignment involves building a trusting and long-term relationship where you support the person based on their needs and circumstances. You encourage an active leisure life, promote social contacts, and serve as support through conversation, advice, and guidance in situations that do not require specialized professional expertise. As a contact person, you are bound by confidentiality, which means you cannot share information about the person you are or have been a contact person for. Building a safe and trusting relationship can take different amounts of time. For some, the connection develops quickly, while others require more time and patience. The most important thing is to meet the person with respect, attentiveness, and genuine commitment. For this assignment, both compensation and reimbursement for expenses are provided. The expense reimbursement should cover costs that may arise in connection with the assignment, such as travel, coffee breaks, or shared activities. The compensation is taxable and counts toward pension. Your Qualifications You don't need any special education or previous experience in social work to become a contact person. The most important thing is that you have a stable life situation, time, and willingness to engage in another person's everyday life. We are looking for people who enjoy meeting others, are respectful, and want to contribute to increased community and quality of life for others. You must be at least 18 years old, but we otherwise welcome applicants of all ages and backgrounds. We would like you to be a secure and stable person with good self-awareness and the ability to build trusting relationships. You are attentive, empathetic, and find it easy to adapt to different situations and people's needs.
