As Municipal Secretary, you will work directly with the municipality's political leadership and the municipal director. You are responsible for ensuring that the decision-making process regarding the Municipal Board and Municipal Council functions efficiently and with legal certainty. Based on the municipality's goals, you support the political leadership, municipal director, and department heads in their work to coordinate and implement decisions and investigations. Your tasks include: managing case preparation and serving as secretary for the Municipal Board and its committees, as well as the Municipal Council providing support to the political leadership assisting during and between meetings on administrative law matters carrying out municipality-wide investigations participating in the office unit's development work. Qualifications To succeed with this assignment, you should have: a law degree or other education that the employer deems equivalent at least five years of experience working closely with leadership in a politically governed organization, or alternatively as centrally placed management support in another organization good knowledge of municipal political governance and the municipal decision-making process knowledge of and interest in politics and societal issues. It is a merit if you have experience from a similar position in a municipality or other public organization. You are a meticulous and structured person who takes responsibility for your assignment. You need to have strong abilities to lead, plan, and coordinate processes in collaboration with others. The role requires an independent work approach and you plan the implementation of your tasks yourself. For you, it is self-evident to follow the statutory requirements and procedures in place while contributing to change and development. You adapt easily to changed circumstances, can see opportunities in changes, and dare to think in new ways. You enjoy communicating and express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
