Cook or School Meal Assistant at Rimforsa School Do you want to work with food that makes a difference—every day? Kinda Municipality is primarily seeking a cook, or alternatively a school meal assistant, for the kitchen at Rimforsa School. With us, you will have the opportunity to contribute to students' health, well-being, and learning through nutritious, balanced meals in a safe school environment. About the role As a cook/school meal assistant at Rimforsa School, you will work with school meals for students in lower and middle grades. The role includes responsibility for preparing and serving lunch, as well as preparing salads, breakfast, and snacks. The work is carried out in close collaboration with other kitchen staff. Depending on your competence and experience, the work tasks can be adjusted, with greater responsibility for cooking and planning if you are a trained cook. The position is currently 60%, with the possibility of expansion if operational needs change, for example due to staff changes. Work tasks Prepare and/or serve nutritious and balanced school meals Prepare salad buffets, breakfast, and snacks Ensure good hygiene, food safety, and order in the kitchen Provide good and professional service to students and colleagues Contribute to a well-functioning and positive collaboration within the kitchen team Qualifications Cook training or documented experience as a cook is an advantage Experience working in school kitchens or large-scale kitchens is an advantage Good knowledge of food hygiene and self-inspection Ability to work independently as well as in a team Service-oriented, flexible, and responsible We also welcome applications from those with experience as a school meal assistant and an interest in developing in this field.
