Do you want to work in a small, nature-oriented setting where quality, care, and culinary joy are at the center? We are now seeking an engaged and self-directed chef for our kitchen at Skolan LÄR in Gustavsberg. Skolan LÄR is located in beautiful Hästhagen, with the forest, meadow, and Kvarnsjön right nearby. Here we prioritize small scale, closeness, and quality – both in our teaching and in the meals we serve our students every day. Today we have approximately 120 students and will gradually grow into an F–4 school with around 145 children. With us, all food is prepared from scratch by our own staff on site. We work with top-quality ingredients, locally produced meat and fish, and incorporate organic products to create delicious, varied, and nutritious meals. About the Role This is a role for you if you enjoy taking responsibility and working independently in a well-organized kitchen. You will have a central and important function in our operations where your structure, efficiency, and planning ability make a real difference in daily work. The work is varied and includes, among other things: Preparation and planning of meals Ordering goods and receiving deliveries Internal quality control and assurance Serving, dishwashing, and cleaning Ensuring compliance with laws and environmental, health, and safety regulations We are looking for someone who values order and routines, has good foresight, and enjoys creating a kitchen that runs smoothly and efficiently – even when the pace is high. At the same time, it is important that you have a natural service mindset and enjoy working with children and colleagues. We are looking for someone who Has chef training or experience from large-scale or institutional kitchens Has a genuine interest in cooking and ingredients Is organized, responsible, and efficient in your work Enjoys working independently and taking your own initiative Has good collaboration skills and a positive approach Has knowledge of food allergies Speaks and writes Swedish fluently We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
