Rökeriet between Åhus & Yngsjö is located just outside Åhus, right next to Helge Å. The business currently consists of a restaurant, delicatessen shop & catering with its own smokery, bakery, and production of marinated herring, cold sauces, and spreads. Since April 1, 2020, the company has been run by new owners. We work with locally produced, fresh ingredients and uncomplicated but delicious dishes. The menus change somewhat to work with seasonal selections. On weekdays, we serve the daily special, the week's fish and vegetarian options, as well as our classics. On weekends, we serve a varied à la carte menu, with the largest selection of fish dishes but also meat and vegetarian options. During summer, we serve à la carte from lunch to dinner (not the daily special). We prepare everything from scratch in our own kitchen, and we also bake/prepare our own cakes, bread, and desserts. We constantly work on improving our products and expanding our own production. We have high standards for quality and origin of our ingredients and set high expectations for our suppliers, which also means we expect a high level from our staff. It is advantageous if you are accustomed to changes and restructuring and see that changes are enjoyable from time to time. We are driven by ideas and the path from thought to reality is short. We are looking for someone who is a strong team player who enjoys varied and diverse work at a changing pace. The breadth here is large with preparation of daily lunch, à la carte, catering, buffets, and large events, and therefore you also need to be accustomed to many different work areas. To be suitable to apply, it is important that you are accustomed to a fast pace, quick decisions, and that you are solution-oriented in all situations. For us, every visitor is important and all guests should be treated with respect and equal value. The work tasks include mainly the following: Prep and preparations for lunch and à la carte. Production of sauces, spreads, pies, sandwiches & salads for our shop. Baking of bread & sweet breads. Work in both hot and cold sections. Stock picking. Inventory and ordering. Assist the head chef and sous chef in planning and management. Cleaning and dishwashing. Customer service by phone We are looking for 1 person, starting in June/July (by agreement). The position is a permanent employment at part-time to full-time (75-100%). Work is scheduled daytime (08.00-21.00) Monday-Sunday. 2 weekends/month. Schedule is provided at least two weeks before start. A driver's license is not required, but public transportation to and from the workplace is somewhat limited. Reporting to head chef.
