Today, approximately 320 people work at our administration, and we operate on behalf of the Technical Committee, the Environment and Building Permit Committee, and the Municipal Executive Administration. The Technical Department's important responsibilities include both management and development in an expanding municipality. Together, we are creating the future Järfälla – a place for everyone. At the Parks and Nature Unit, we work with the entire chain within the urban development process from planning to management. Here, landscape architects, park managers, ecologists, forest managers, agricultural managers, and water specialists work together to develop and manage the municipality's land with a focus on ecology, health-promoting environments, attractiveness, activity, and climate. We are in an exciting startup phase with a new organization. This means you'll have the opportunity to contribute and help shape both the work methods and culture of the unit and administration. DUTIES As a junior landscape architect, you will become part of the Parks and Nature Unit and primarily work with the development of existing environments. You will initially work on smaller projects and with concrete tasks that provide you with a solid foundation in the role. Your role can be anything from project manager to participant, reference person, or case handler in various tasks and contexts. You need to have design skills and a communicative working style, as much of the work involves communicating technical, administrative, and more abstract perspectives on outdoor environments. You can work at different scales and have the ability to plan and complete tasks, while also being able to coordinate different functions and collaborate with various people and professions. At the beginning of your employment, you will work on, for example: • Inventory and analysis of different areas • Participate in and lead smaller park projects including budgeting and follow-up • Updating map materials in our map tool Jakarta • Respond to referrals • Participation in safety work • Contribution to the development of internal work methods In the long term, you will have the opportunity to work more broadly within, for example, design, planning, stormwater solutions, and sustainable urban development. QUALIFICATIONS You are educated as a Landscape Architect. It is an asset if you have experience of relevant work in a politically governed organization as well as with management and maintenance of green areas. Basic technical skills in: • CAD programs • Adobe (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) • GIS (asset) Desired knowledge requirements: • Plant knowledge (asset) • Accessibility (e.g. universal design) • Ecosystem services • Climate adaptation Other requirements • B driver's license • Good Swedish in speech and writing You need to have a structured working style from planning, implementation to documentation and follow-up. You need to have good IT skills and a willingness to develop. Work with GIS, CAD, Adobe programs as well as project management and review tools is part of the work. Through your creativity, you develop well-considered and site-adapted design proposals that combine function and aesthetics. You enjoy developing new ideas and finding solutions to complex challenges. You dare to test and present ideas, while they can be adapted based on feedback. Employment form: Permanent position.
