As a temporary worker with us, you have the opportunity to work according to a schedule. You can also choose to work on an hourly basis, meaning you can step in as a temporary worker as needed. Our employees distribute their vacation across all three summer months, which means there is an opportunity to work during June, July, and August. Within elderly care, you can choose to work in both special housing and home services. Within LSS (the Act Concerning Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities), there are multiple target groups and workplaces around the municipality. Here you have the opportunity to work as a temporary worker within, among other things, group homes, service apartments, residential support, day activities, short-term stays/supervision, or social psychiatry. As a temporary worker in care and support at Tomelilla Municipality, you have an important role in supporting and helping people to live as independently and meaningfully as possible. The work is varied and is always based on the individual's needs, wishes, and circumstances. You contribute to creating security, participation, and quality of life for our service users by providing support in both everyday activities and personal care. Your job duties may include: - Help with personal care, such as showering, hygiene, and shaving - Support during toilet visits - Help with getting up, going to bed, and dressing/undressing - Household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, cooking, and shopping - Accompanying people to, for example, medical visits or social activities as well as walks and outdoor activities - Medication management following delegation from a nurse In this role, you make a meaningful contribution every day. You need to master the Swedish language in a way that allows you to communicate with service users, relatives, and colleagues both verbally and in writing. It is advantageous if you are trained as a nurse assistant, support assistant, or have other equivalent education, as well as if you have previous experience working in care and support. To work in elderly care and LSS, you must pass the medication test, both written and oral, as well as the practical part of medication delegation in Tomelilla Municipality.
