We're looking for a hands-on installation technician – preferably a bit of a "technical jack-of-all-trades" – who thrives with varying workdays. Requirements for the role: Several years of experience as, for example, an installation technician, network technician, broadband technician, fiber technician, or similar role Swedish fluency in speech and writing Class B driver's license NOTE: D.ON works with critical infrastructure. It may be necessary to undergo a security clearance. Extract from criminal record and credit check may be required with your consent, according to the respective customer's security requirements. Meritorious qualifications Certification in Robust Fiber or similar Electrical knowledge / low voltage Experience with fire alarms, access control, or security systems English fluency in speech Personal qualities Collaboration-oriented – builds trust and collaborates effectively with colleagues and customers Organized – works safely, maintains neat cable routing, and documents thoroughly Solution-oriented – finds ways forward and takes ownership of deliverables About the role – Installation Technician As an installation technician, you work with installation, service, and maintenance of network infrastructure at customer sites. Assignments vary and can range from smaller installations to larger projects, often together with a colleague. Example of work tasks • Cable pulling for fiber and data cables • Termination, splicing, and testing • Equipment installation in buildings and data centers • Cross-connecting and network setup • Documentation, self-inspections, and measurement protocols for customers • Service and maintenance of existing networks Work takes place primarily in Stockholm, but also throughout Sweden and occasionally in the Nordic region. Overnight stays occur on a limited basis.
