We are now looking for a procurement officer for a time-limited assignment at an industrial company in the Umeå region during the period August to December. About the Assignment As a procurement officer, you will have an important role in ensuring that materials, components, and services are available for operations at the right time, in the right quality, and at the best possible cost. The assignment is a temporary need during an intensive period and suits you who can quickly get up to speed on new tasks and contribute with your expertise from day one. You work closely with production, warehouse, engineering, quality, and suppliers to ensure efficient and well-functioning procurement processes. Scope of Assignment: Time-limited assignment from August to December. Full-time. Placement in the Umeå region. Responsibilities The role includes, among other things: Responsible for procurement of materials, components, and services. Plan and place orders based on operations' needs and forecasts. Follow up on deliveries and ensure delivery precision. Maintain and develop good relationships with suppliers. Negotiate prices, terms, and agreements as needed. Handle deviations and contribute to efficient solutions together with internal functions. Work on improvements within procurement processes and routines. What We're Looking For Postsecondary education in procurement, logistics, economics, engineering, or equivalent experience. Previous experience in procurement, preferably within industrial or manufacturing operations. Self-driven, structured, and solution-oriented. Strong analytical ability and a business-oriented approach. Communicative and comfortable with multiple contact points, both internally and externally. Strong knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Good system knowledge and experience with business systems is an advantage.
