The role of assistant hotel manager is a completely new position with the goal of combining active leadership with supportive functions. ABOUT THE POSITIONS As hotel manager/assistant hotel manager, you will be the central force in the hotel's daily operations and a key person in the long-term development of the guest experience. The roles are responsible for weaving together multiple departments into a cohesive whole where service, quality, and guest experience are at the center. Administrative work, such as scheduling responsibilities, is not included in these positions. You will work operationally and be present on-site. You will frequently be among guests and staff, notice the details that make a difference, and coach others to always aim higher. You work both strategically and practically, with a focus on creating memorable experiences for every guest, in line with the company's vision and goals. Scheduled work in the evenings and on weekends is part of the position. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY ✓ Ensure that the guest's overall experience maintains the highest level, measurable through guest satisfaction and repeat visits. ✓ Drive revenue increase per guest through active sales, routines, and genuine hospitality. ✓ Maintain and follow up on work procedures. ✓ Lead and motivate teams toward common goals. ✓ Create a positive work environment characterized by collaboration, development, and pride. ✓ Be a role model in leadership: visible, engaged, and professional in all situations. ✓ Direct responsibility for the Housekeeping and Wine House departments (spa, wine bar, and reception). ABOUT YOU You are a leader with strong presence and a natural sense of hospitality and service. We believe that you: ✓ Have a very strong interest in food and beverage and enjoy conversations with guests at all levels, from curious beginners to experienced connoisseurs. ✓ Have several years of experience in restaurants, hotels, service, or hospitality, preferably in a leadership position. Restaurant experience is just as valuable as reception experience. ✓ Are confident in making decisions and prioritizing in a dynamic environment. ✓ Have a coaching and inspiring leadership style that builds trust and development. ✓ Understand how to create both financial results and guest loyalty. ✓ Are organized, analytical, and experienced in working with follow-ups, statistics, and systems. FACTS Scope: 100% Employment type: Permanent (6-month probationary period from start) Start date: By agreement Location: Ästad, Tvååker For much of the year, there is no local public transportation to Ästad. A driver's license and access to a car are therefore required. We welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds. However, to be employed, you must have valid authorization to work in Sweden. ABOUT ÄSTAD VINGÅRD Ästad Vingård is one of Sweden's largest vineyards with organic viticulture and its own production, primarily of the Solaris grape with a focus on sparkling wine. The estate has 82 hotel rooms, Sinnenas Spa inspired by the surrounding beech forests in Åkulla nature reserve, and Restaurant ÄNG – awarded one star in the Michelin Guide. Ästad Vingård is a family-owned business in its third generation, just outside Varberg. Over the coming years, a new sister hotel is also planned outside Malmö.
