About the role and your responsibilities As a support worker, you work closely with the service users and have an important responsibility to ensure quality and continuity in daily support. The work is based on each service user's individual needs, resources, and goals. Your responsibilities include: Designing, following up on, and evaluating implementation plans Documenting in social records according to applicable guidelines Participating in coordinated individual plans (SIP) Collaborating with family members, guardians/administrators, and healthcare providers Providing support in daily life such as personal care, nursing care, household tasks, and shopping Motivating service users toward activity, participation, and social interaction – both within and outside the residence Working in social psychiatry means that you are a respectful, social, and educational support to people with mental health disabilities. By creating safety, structure, and continuity, you contribute to supporting the service user in their recovery process. In your work you are supported by a pedagogical coordinator, unit administrator, and an engaged work team, where collaboration and collegial support are a natural part of daily operations. Who we are looking for We are looking for someone with relevant education in the field, for example a vocational school education with a focus on social psychiatry, nursing assistant with specialist training in psychiatry, social pedagogue, social worker, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. Meritorious: Education in recovery-oriented approaches Experience with CAN assessments Experience with documentation in LifeCare Work experience in social psychiatry Experience working with older adults with psychiatric diagnoses, substance abuse and addiction, or dementia Care work is a part of the job that you are comfortable with. You have a good ability to collaborate, create structure, plan, and take responsibility.
