Your Responsibilities and Tasks As an Officer for Operations Development, you will lead the work of developing the section's routines and processes. You work closely with both section management and project managers on development issues to support and develop the section's operations and initiatives. You are expected to actively and on your own initiative identify the need for new processes and routines and develop these in consultation with the section management group but with a high degree of independence. You will, for example, contribute to the section developing its digital work and serve as the section's focal point in systems matters. You are also responsible for the section's ongoing statistical work as well as development in this area. Depending on current needs, part of your work may be administration related to the unit, the section or specific intervention projects. You are expected to support follow-up and communication work related to the Ukraine operations. Other tasks may also occur. Your Knowledge and Competencies We are looking for someone who has: - Relevant academic degree or work experience that the employer deems equivalent. - Experience in development/administrative work, for example ensuring systematic, efficient and uniform administrative routines and processes. - Documented good knowledge in digital development issues as well as statistical work. - Experience from public sector operations. - Knowledge of and experience with document filing and archiving work. - Very good skills in expressing yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English. It is meritorious if you have: - Experience of working in or with Ukraine. - Experience in handling international aid initiatives with knowledge of project logic and application processes for project funding. - Knowledge of and experience with information classification. - Experience with the agency's intervention operations and processes and routines in relation to this. About the Position We offer you a permanent full-time employment that begins with a probationary period. Your work location will be Karlstad or Stockholm and travel is part of the position. The majority of our positions involve placement in security clearance. Swedish citizenship is usually required. When placed in security clearance, security vetting with record check will be conducted before employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act. Most employees at the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency are war-positioned. About Us The Agency has four intervention sections and on average handles approximately 80 ongoing interventions in approximately 30 countries through its intervention operations. In the Civil Support to Ukraine section, we are approximately 20 employees and we are located in both Karlstad and Stockholm. The section is responsible for coordinating and managing the agency's support to and cooperation with Ukraine and for representing the agency within Team Sweden's Ukraine support. The section is also responsible for facilitating and creating opportunities for the agency and the Swedish preparedness system to utilize lessons learned and experiences from Ukraine for Swedish civil defense.
