We are now offering a position as a teacher of Swedish and Swedish as a second language. At Jacobsskolan, we work trust-based with the student and their learning in focus. You will be part of a team consisting of teachers in upper secondary general subjects and vocational subjects; together you will work toward student achievement of learning goals. You will also work together with subject colleagues in subject teams, where you collectively work to develop teaching in your subject. Together with your team, you will work on the school's prioritized areas in the curriculum. The position may include mentoring. Who are you? We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with the qualifications to teach Swedish and Swedish as a second language in upper secondary school. Experience teaching in the high school's vocational preparation programs is considered a merit. You are relationship-building and work from an inclusive approach with a focus on an accessible learning environment adapted to our students' needs and conditions. You are good at collaboration and are expected to actively participate in the subject team, work team, and maintain close cooperation with the school's other professionals such as student support services. You believe in the student's ability and your starting point when meeting students is to find the experiences and knowledge that are the student's assets. You enjoy working in multicultural environments and are inspired by new knowledge and experiences. We expect you to have good IT skills. In your role as a teacher, you take responsibility for planning, implementing, and evaluating your teaching with anchoring in the school's governing documents. About us The Children and Education Administration is responsible for the municipality's preschools, primary schools, high schools, adapted schools, and cultural schools.
