We accept non-school-age girls with psychosocial problems, mental health issues, and involvement in crime and substance abuse. As a group leader, you contribute to a safe and secure environment for both placed children and young people as well as staff. SiS youth home Brättegården will open an intake and needs assessment unit in the fall and is therefore seeking a group leader. On the intake and needs assessment (INA) unit, the focus is to stabilize the young person's situation and well-being and break down socially destructive behaviors such as crime or substance abuse. An INA unit is often the girls' first contact with compulsory care, which means a strong focus on trust-based and relationship-building work to capture which patterns need to be broken in the acute situation to help the girl. In the role of group leader, you work actively in the operational care and treatment work on the unit. You are responsible for planning, operationally leading, and distributing the daily work. You serve as a role model and promote that work is conducted with legal certainty and in accordance with applicable guidelines, methods, and set goals. You keep the unit manager on your unit continuously updated on matters that can affect the work environment, care and treatment environment, or shortcomings in operations. Introduction and supervision of new staff is also part of your work. You are part of a team with a unit manager and treatment secretary, and you will have close collaboration to create good results together. Qualifications To thrive and succeed in the role of group leader, you are motivated by working with and helping people in vulnerable life situations. The operational work and meeting with young people is your primary focus. You are good at planning, organizing, and prioritizing work in an efficient manner and are clear in your communication with others. At the same time, you are a good listener and affirming in your interactions with young people and staff, and skilled at building relationships. You have a professional approach and a good ability to collaborate and understand others' perspectives. The work is sometimes challenging and requires you to be stable and maintain composure even in stressful situations. You should also have: University education of at least 180 credits with a focus on social sciences, healthcare, or behavioral science Several years of documented work experience from work within SiS or other operations with a focus on care, treatment, and security, such as social services, healthcare and treatment, criminal justice, or other relevant activities. Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both in writing and orally. At SiS, we prioritize good leadership.
