The Education Department is responsible for preschools, elementary schools, after-school programs, secondary schools, adult education, and child and student health. Approximately 1,100 employees work here to create a safe and developmentally supportive school and childcare. Köpingebro School is a preschool through grade 6 school serving ages 6-13. The school is located 200 meters from the Köpingebro train station. The school has approximately 400 students, with about 220 enrolled in the school's after-school program. The school is beautifully situated with proximity to forest, sea, and the municipality's nature school, Marietorp. Our large schoolyard offers various opportunities for activities that promote play and movement, including an artificial grass field, obstacle course, large play area, and well-equipped playgrounds. The school has a full-size sports hall, an open library, and a school cafeteria that serves students nutritious meals daily. Work teams are organized by grade levels F-3, grades 4-6, and after-school care F-6. Each grade level works in interdisciplinary teams consisting of various professionals such as teachers, after-school educators, preschool teachers, childcare assistants, and educational support staff. The teams are adapted to meet specific needs, and no two teams are identical. The team's mission is to create the best possible learning situation for all students, with groups changing as needed and development occurs. The team's responsibility is also to plan so that all resources are used optimally. The school has a student support team consisting of a principal, assistant principal, special educator, specialist teacher, school nurse, school counselor, student coordinator, and school psychologist. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We're looking for a skilled teacher with strong commitment and experience in planning instruction in accordance with the curriculum and other governing documents. Instruction should stimulate student development and learning. This position is at the intermediate level. As a teacher, you contribute to laying the foundation for students' lifelong learning. You create a safe, creative, and stimulating learning environment where each student has the opportunity to succeed. Your responsibilities include: • Plan, implement, and develop instruction • Monitor, document, and evaluate student learning • Work in close collaboration with colleagues in team and grade-level settings • Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and developmentally supportive school environment QUALIFICATIONS We're looking for someone who: • Is a certified teacher for grades 4-6 (or alternatively 1-6) • Demonstrates clear and confident classroom leadership • Is curious, relationship-focused, and recognizes the strengths in student diversity • Is passionate about helping all students succeed both academically and socially You are a teacher who: • Creates a productive and safe classroom environment • Builds trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues • Is solution-focused and sees possibilities instead of obstacles • Enjoys collaborating and growing together with others Salary Form: Monthly salary.
