Ljungnässkolan is a preschool-6th grade school with approximately 320 students. About 50 employees work at the school. The school has teachers, senior teachers, special education teachers/specialists, a school counselor, and a school nurse. The school has two parallel classes from preschool through 6th grade as well as after-school programs and is undergoing an exciting period of change. The school and after-school center collaborate on both students and facilities. Our approach provides security and continuity for our students and good cohesion within the staff. Ljungnässkolan is a VI school, which means we receive students from Linnaeus University in Kalmar's teacher training programs for preschool-3rd grade, 4th-6th grade, and after-school center teachers. We welcome your application. 2 position(s). DUTIES At Ljungnässkolan we work in teams and you will work with different teacher categories. Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, documenting, and developing the educational work for students at the school and after-school center. Collaboration between the school, after-school center, and guardians is important to us. Our mission is to address students' needs and work based on them. Your main task will be to work with children in need of special support, but it may also include working in the after-school center and preschool class. The position may also involve some work at Mölstadskolan, as the two schools are planned to become a joint preschool-6th grade school in the future. Before employment becomes relevant, we will request an extract from the criminal record register. QUALIFICATIONS We are primarily seeking someone with a primary school teacher degree with broad credentials and ideally with an interest in special education. You adapt easily and can maintain focus when circumstances sometimes change. You have clear pedagogical insight and the ability to implement the curriculum's goals in your work. We have high standards for your collaboration skills and your ability to build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You have a natural interest in children, learning, and development work. You are an attentive and collaborative educator who challenges and stimulates students to develop. You believe strongly in collaboration as a success factor for pedagogical development. You see the value of including everyone in the team and working as a unit. To develop student learning, you reflect together with your colleagues on your own and the team's pedagogical approach. You are a secure and flexible leader. Employment form: Fixed-term contract. Duration: 3-6 months, start date: August 17, 2026 or by agreement, end date: December 18, 2026. Vacation cover position, 40 hours/week. Possible opportunity for extension.
