We are now seeking a procurement specialist for the Supply Chain Management team with responsibility for procuring consumable materials for healthcare – primarily in cardiology, neuro, thorax, radiology, and surgery. Our Operations Supply Chain Management is a collaboration between the regions of Dalarna, Värmland, Sörmland, Uppsala, and Örebro. Each year we conduct procurements valued at approximately 2 billion kronor, and our inventory contains 100,000 articles. Region Uppsala hosts the collaboration, and Supply Chain Management employees are part of the same department as the region's own procurement and purchasing specialists. Your Assignment As a procurement specialist, you plan, lead, and conduct procurements from needs analysis to contract signing and contract management. The procurement specialist role also includes providing support on procurement matters and, together with your colleagues in the department, developing purchasing and procurement operations. Work as a procurement specialist is stimulating and varied with many contacts, and you become a central person in the work. The work involves leading, directing, and collaborating with expert groups consisting of various professional roles. The procurement specialist role demands business acumen and analytical ability. You take responsibility for your tasks, structure your approach, and drive your processes forward efficiently. You can prioritize and manage several different types of assignments simultaneously, which includes planning, setting, and maintaining timelines. You have good self-awareness and the ability to adapt to situations and recipients in an attentive, clear, and flexible manner. As a person, you are confident and have an easy time establishing and maintaining relationships and collaborations. As a procurement specialist you will: • Independently conduct procurements in, among others, catheter-based vascular intervention, neuro and PCI as well as TAVI intervention, intervention and radiology materials, customized sets, and arrhythmia and pacemaker. • Work closely with the operations to understand and meet their needs. • Lead expert groups consisting of various professions. • Be a consulting and supporting expert in procurement matters. Your Qualifications • Degree as a registered nurse or nursing assistant with experience from clinical work in healthcare. • Very good knowledge of Excel and good knowledge of other Office applications. • Very good ability to communicate verbally and in writing in Swedish and good knowledge of English. • Interest in driving complex projects with periodically high workload. It is meriting if you have: • Clinical experience as a registered nurse or nursing assistant in cardiology, neuro, thorax, radiology, or surgery. • Experience in purchasing, procurement, or sales of consumable materials, products, and/or equipment for healthcare. • Experience independently conducting or participating in procurement processes. • Experience working with improvement initiatives, such as material selection or changed work methods that lead to cost savings. • Experience with public procurement and good knowledge of the Public Procurement Act (LOU). • Experience with the products included in the area of responsibility. • Driver's license category B, as travel occurs in the position.
