Then we might be looking for you! We are now seeking personal assistants for an adult man living with an acquired brain injury from a riding accident. The client receives 24-hour assistance including overnight care. Before the accident, he lived a very active life and today maintains a strong interest in natural science and music. The work is entirely based at Furuboda Folk High School during the client's time there (Sunday to Friday). Who are you? The client is tall, which means you need to be physically stable to assist with daily activities and transfers. It is important that you have a strong command of Swedish, both spoken and written. We welcome applicants of all ages and genders – what matters most is your personal maturity and good chemistry with the client. It is a great advantage if you share the client's interest in natural science or if you are interested in music! Requirements for the position To succeed in this role, you must have a driver's license for manual transmission and access to your own car. You also need to have a strong command of Swedish, both spoken and written. It is also an asset if you have previous experience with tube feeding, cough assist machines, or working with acquired brain injuries. About the position and application We offer positions with varying working hours on a rotating schedule, and are also seeking hourly substitutes who can step in as needed. Work shifts are scheduled during the client's time at school (Sunday–Friday). Shifts include day, evening, and overnight care. You will be part of a team that ensures the client's studies and daily life at school run as smoothly, safely, and stimulatingly as possible.
