WORK DUTIES In your role as an after-school teacher at Varagårdsskolan, your primary task will be work in the after-school program, but assignments as a resource pedagogue in a classroom or in our special education group are also part of the position. By planning, implementing, and following up on your teaching, you give students the opportunity to develop both socially and academically. You work to strengthen their creativity, curiosity, and self-esteem through, for example, play, creative activities, and movement. Together with your colleagues, you plan and follow up on after-school program activities based on your choice of pedagogical and didactic strategies and methods, adapted to students' needs and circumstances. You meet each student in their learning progression and contribute to developing learning environments that encourage students' learning, participation, and influence. It is important that you create a good relationship with students, guardians, and colleagues, characterized by mutual respect and a trusting approach, as well as positive and high expectations. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is certified as a teacher with a focus on work in the after-school program. It is a merit if you have experience working in an after-school program. You are expected to be well versed in the school's and after-school program's governing documents and mission. You enjoy collaborating with colleagues and actively contribute to developing the activities in various ways. You have good structure in your work and can adapt teaching based on students' needs and the school's goals. Your view of students is characterized by respect and a belief that all children can and want to develop. You have high expectations of students and work actively for them to thrive in school and in the after-school program. As a person, you are highly engaged, responsible, and attentive. In your leadership, you are confident and clear. The work requires flexibility and the ability to plan and prioritize your tasks well. You need to be solution-oriented and have the ability to quickly handle unforeseen situations that may arise in daily operations. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
