Learn more at www.hofors.se Värnaskolan has approximately 160 students from preschool class through grade 3. The school also operates an afterschool program before and after school hours. The school area includes Värnahallen, where indoor sports are conducted. The school also has a stimulating outdoor environment with large play areas. Adjacent to the school is Skolskogen with outdoor classrooms, grilling areas, shelters, and beautiful nature. The afterschool program is divided into two sections, each with its own facilities. Each section has 30-35 children. 1 position(s). DUTIES As an afterschool teacher, you work in accordance with the school's and afterschool program's governing documents, curriculum, and national goals. The activities are designed to promote students' development, sense of security, and academic focus. During school hours, you work with students in class, individually, or in small groups and provide support in various situations throughout the school day, such as in teaching, during breaks, during transitions between activities, and in other social contexts. In the afterschool program, you are responsible, together with colleagues, for planning, implementing, and following up on activities that stimulate students' learning, creativity, social development, and independence. Through a relational approach, you contribute to strengthening students' sense of security, motivation, and participation in school. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with teacher certification and qualifications for working in an afterschool program. We see that you: • Have documented strong collaboration skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and a good ability to organize and structure your work. • Have a solution-focused approach and excellent ability to build trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. • Can adapt your work methods and activities based on students' daily needs and condition, and actively contribute to a safe and positive school environment throughout the school day. • Work from a low-affect perspective and have the ability to meet students in different situations in a calm, structured, and professional manner. • Have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
