The assignment involves conducting quality youth activities and area-based work in Falköping Municipality. You are expected to participate and contribute to the municipality's comprehensive work on safety issues for children and young people, as well as work on improving children and young people's living conditions. You should contribute to developing the department's work with youth democracy and work with the Convention on the Rights of the Child. You work independently but in close collaboration with the target group and relevant actors, both internally and externally. You work daytime, evenings, and in some cases weekends. Who are we? Youth Activities is a collective name for all our programs focusing on children and young people's leisure time. This includes 5 youth centers, a Youth House, area-based work, safety work, youth participation, events and group activities, as well as holiday activities. We work area-based with close collaboration with local actors. We work according to European principles and guidelines for local open leisure and youth activities, and we are part of the KEKS network – quality and competence in collaboration. What are we looking for in you? To succeed in the role as a youth activity leader, you are positive, creative, and solution-oriented. Furthermore, you are engaged and good at building relationships, and have the ability to connect with young people in a simple and natural way. You enjoy working in an environment that is varied and challenging, and you are passionate about supporting and encouraging young people's ideas. You are structured and have the ability to organize things both independently and together with colleagues and the target group. Your collaboration skills are strong, and you enjoy cooperating both within your own work group and with external contacts. Since we are expected to create collaborations within and outside municipal activities, it's important that you are professional in your role and can function as an ambassador for the activity and for Falköping Municipality, and are a good networker. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. You should be driven by the desire to support young people in their personal and social development. You should: have a post-secondary degree with a focus on social work, pedagogy, or something else the employer deems appropriate experience from similar work in open and/or targeted youth activities experience leading different types of groups/networks experience from norm-critical work, equality, and participation experience creating music, arrangements, and stage offerings with and for young people Driver's license Information If you are offered employment, you must provide a current extract from the National Police Board's criminal record register.
