Parish Assistant for Children's Activities We are seeking a parish assistant for children's activities at the Swedish Church Malå for a permanent position. We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with children and young people and wants to help create a safe and meaningful program in the parish. In this role, you will meet children of different ages, from young children with their parents to school children and teenagers. You will help plan and lead activities such as crafts and creative work, play and community time, as well as gatherings with singing, stories, and devotions. You are responsible for groups and participate in confirmation education work together with colleagues. In your interactions with children and young people, you are a safe and present adult who contributes to an environment where everyone feels welcome and valued. The work is primarily based at the parish hall, where you and your colleagues run and develop the activities. You will also meet guardians and help build strong relationships within the parish. Education and Experience It is a merit if you are trained as a leisure pedagogue or have other equivalent pedagogical education. Personal Qualities You are responsive, responsible, and engaged. You enjoy collaborating with different professionals and can work both independently and with others. You have the ability to plan and lead groups and enjoy working with children of different ages. Working Hours Working hours are flexible and include some evening and weekend service. Employment Terms Permanent position with a six-month probationary period. Position level 80 to 100 percent by agreement. Other Information You must be a member of the Swedish Church. A criminal record certificate will be requested.
