Södra Dalarnas Räddningstjänstförbund is responsible for rescue services in the municipalities of Avesta, Hedemora, Fagersta, and Norberg. The organization currently consists of approximately 45 full-time employees and 100 part-time employees distributed across 6 fire stations. Our focus is primarily on preventing accidents and fires, and therefore all personnel participate in preventive work. Our member municipalities have an interesting risk profile that includes heavy steel industry with extensive chemical handling, mining industry, national highways 66, 68, 69, and 70 as well as European route 16, paper and timber industries. Five of the industries are classified as Seveso facilities according to the higher requirement level. Södra Dalarnas Räddningstjänstförbund is part of RäddningsRegion Bergslagen (RRB) and its associated management cooperation. Job Responsibilities Your responsibilities include performing service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of the organization's vehicles and rescue equipment. You are responsible for moving vehicles between stations as needed and ensuring they undergo inspections according to current requirements. The work also includes supporting firefighters in performing basic service and maintenance work and contributing to keeping equipment and vehicles at high operational reliability and availability for operational activities. Qualifications and Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who is a trained vehicle mechanic and holds a driver's license with category C authorization. You communicate well both verbally and in writing and work independently and methodically toward set goals. As a person, you are cost-conscious, responsible, and solution-oriented. You have practical skills, take initiative, and see possibilities rather than obstacles. We value good teamwork skills and professional conduct, as the work involves contact with many functions within the organization. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
