Description Storfors Municipality seeks an analytical and driven change manager for primary school. This is a new role that will involve independent and responsible work where you will both analyze operations to identify patterns, causes, and needs for action, as well as drive and implement selected initiatives based on political directives. The role is centrally organized as Storfors Municipality has a single unified administration and one elected body in the form of the Municipal Council. Storfors Municipality is a smaller organization with short decision-making processes and close collaboration between different operations. In this role, you will work closely with the Municipal Chief Executive, Municipal Council, school leadership, and other staff within the school/preschool operations area to maintain quality and good procedures throughout the entire workflow. Responsibilities The assignment involves creating conditions and structures to develop, test, and implement initiatives that ultimately result in better goal achievement for the municipality's students. This includes: At an overall level, create status assessments, analyze development needs, and work together with all involved parties to identify what steps need to be taken forward. Communicate direction and priorities, create engagement, and support employees and managers at different levels in initiating and implementing changes. Proactively initiate, plan, and implement politically decided development initiatives linked to systematic quality work, and coach school leadership in this work. Drive change and cultural development. Contribute to building a culture where clarity, responsibility, development, and security are central. Translate strategies and goals into concrete activities and results. Work on assignment from the Municipal Council and report to the Municipal Chief Executive, as your employment will be in the municipal leadership office's staff. Drive internal development projects and support the implementation of new working methods and practices. Monitor the external environment and disseminate knowledge from research and trends. Plan and lead training sessions and workshops. This is a role where you both shape the direction forward and contribute to daily, practical work. Qualifications We are looking for someone with solid experience as a school leader and a relevant university degree. You have extensive experience with process management, with a particular focus on change management, and are accustomed to working with school development at the principal/board level. You feel confident leading both work and management groups through change and have good experience driving goal-oriented processes. At the same time, you have strong analytical abilities and are accustomed to handling complex systems and strategic assignments. You also have the ability to manage tensions, when needed, at both operational and group levels. Furthermore, you have experience working in a politically governed organization and are comfortable handling political matters. As a person, you are a confident and stable leader with a humble and honest approach. You are courageous, open to change, and creative, and thrive in environments where goals are developed and the path forward is not always predetermined. You have a strong ability to build relationships, create engagement, and motivate and include others in the work. You are also organized and have a well-developed ability to lead and drive strategic change and transformation work.
