Our unit is divided into a mandate group and open care, which allows us to work broadly and in a coordinated manner around our families. In Kumla, we strive to offer our own foster families to placed children whenever possible. This allows us to work in a close team around the placed children, consisting of foster care coordinators, child welfare officers, and sometimes foster care therapists. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The role of family foster care coordinator involves responsibility for assessing foster homes and emergency care homes, recruiting and evaluating contact persons and contact families, matching service providers, and supervising foster families. The work as a family foster care coordinator includes maintaining regular contact with the foster homes you're responsible for; you work to provide them with guidance and support so they can manage their assignment and give the child the best care during placement. As a family foster care coordinator, you work closely with your fellow coordinator but also with our child welfare officers who are responsible for the child's placement. Our goal is that you should have: • a reasonable workload and close support in your daily work • guidance and support from experienced team leaders • work in a team with colleagues • a clear introduction and mentorship opportunities • the possibility of flexible working hours and remote work We invest in your development! QUALIFICATIONS We're looking for someone who: • has a degree in social work, behavioral science with additional education in social law, or other education that the employer deems appropriate. • is engaged, responsible, and confident in meeting with people • enjoys working independently but also as part of a team • holds a driver's license (category B) Experience working with children and youth is a merit.
