We are now seeking a family therapist in Brief Strategic Family Therapy (BSFT) for the Placement and Resources Unit. The unit consists of family therapists, family law specialists, placement case handlers, foster family secretaries, coordinators, group leaders, senior social secretaries, and a unit manager. In Katrineholm Municipality, we invest in evidence-based methods. The purpose of implementing Brief Strategic Family Therapy (BSFT) is to strengthen support for families where there are one or more young people, up to 18 years old, with norm-breaking behavior. The treatment consists of 12-16 sessions over the same number of weeks. In BSFT, the focus is on changing the family's interactions to handle current and future crises. The whole family participates in the sessions, including siblings and other important key people. BSFT is included in the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare's knowledge support as a method that should be used for norm-breaking behavior in young people. As a family therapist, you will work closely with other professionals in the department and within the administration. The proximity between different teams and collaboration across unit boundaries puts the individual in focus and means you often work together with others on a case. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Your main tasks will be to plan and conduct family sessions according to the BSFT model. The work is done in close cooperation with colleagues in the team, group leaders, and in the child and family department. You are the responsible family therapist for each family, but the team is there as support and security in your daily work. The team has ongoing booster and/or further training twice a year. All evidence-based treatment includes quality control. All sessions are filmed and supervision is concrete and continuous, two hours per week. The employment includes basic training in Brief Strategic Family Therapy (BSFT). Evening work and independent work are included. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and previous work experience in psychosocial change work, preferably within individual and family care. You have good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, and also good knowledge of English since parts of the training take place in English. A Class B driver's license for manual transmission is required as your work may involve driving a car depending on the client's situation. It is a merit if you have training in Signs of Safety, Children's Needs in Focus (BBIC), or other evidence-based treatment methods. Experience with the Treserva management system is a merit. Good IT skills are a requirement. We are looking for someone who wants to develop as a therapist and who is interested in evidence-based work and is open to feedback on the work you do. You are secure, stable, and have self-insight and conduct yourself in a way that is adapted to the situation. Your initiative is good and you are self-directed and take great responsibility for implementing new proposals and working methods. You achieve desired results and can argue and explain why activities should be carried out. You work well with other people and relate to them in a responsive and flexible way by listening, communicating, and resolving conflicts in a constructive manner.
