Description:
Emmaboda Municipality is in an exciting phase of development where a modern small town is being built. The municipality is a hub in the heart of southeastern Sweden with proximity to both beautiful nature and to Kalmar, Karlskrona, and Växjö. The overarching and shared goal is to continuously develop so that the municipality is attractive to live, work, and thrive in, as well as being an attractive employer. Within the municipality's individual and family care services, we are in the midst of a development journey where we are creating a more preventative, accessible, and close social services. In Emmaboda, we don't want to wait for problems to escalate – we want to meet people where they are, when they need it most. We work preventatively, close to residents, and together with those we are here to serve. We believe in people's capacity for change and that change is created through relationships marked by respect, warmth, humor, trust, and courage. We meet people with empathy, curiosity, and openness – and work together with children and adults, not around them. As a Family Therapist, you will be part of the social welfare department's outpatient care team where several professions work closely together in a culture characterized by collaboration, commitment, and work satisfaction. 1 position(s). DUTIES There are jobs where you count down the days until Friday. And then there are jobs where you feel that what you do actually matters. This is one of those jobs. Imagine a job where relationships have time to develop. You meet families early, work close to their daily lives, and get the opportunity to follow real change over time. At the same time, you are never alone – you have a team around you that supports, reflects, and develops together. As a Family Therapist, you work both independently and in a team to: • support parents in change processes. • strengthen the interaction between children and parents. • mobilize networks and important relationships. Collaboration is a central part of the work, and you collaborate with authorities, schools, child psychiatry services, rehabilitation services, and other actors to create sustainable change over time. Part of the position is located at the family center. There you work in an interdisciplinary team together with maternal health care, child health care, and open preschool services. You contribute to early identification of needs and strengthen children's living conditions and families' life situations. Our work is based on a knowledge-based approach where follow-up, reflection, and development are a natural part. We work from systems theory, attachment theory, and developmental psychology and use Signs of Safety to clarify strengths, concerns, and goals, as well as create participation and security in change processes. With us, your ideas and experiences are important – we develop together. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, so don't wait too long to submit your application. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and experience in family therapy or work with children, youth, and families, as well as knowledge of parenting support methods. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities and are looking for someone who recognizes themselves in the following: • A genuine commitment to people and a drive to contribute to change together with others. • Security in yourself and in meeting others, as well as the ability to build trusting relationships even in complex situations. • A way of working that combines structure with warmth, clarity, and flexibility, where you adapt to needs and context. • Good collaboration skills and a natural contribution to the team's development and community, with a focus on shared results. • A solution-focused approach where you see possibilities, dare to think new, and remain stable in challenging situations, while reflecting on and developing your work. Other requirements • Criminal background check before employment. • Class B driver's license for manual transmission vehicles. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment form: Permanent position. Working hours: Daytime. The work is primarily daytime, but some evening and weekend work may occur. Emmaboda Municipality's employees should reflect the diversity that exists in the municipality.
