We are now a Superkommun! * Welcome to work as a temporary staff member in Support and Care this summer! We are looking for experienced temporary workers for our Support and Care operations during June, July, and August. There is also the possibility of taking work shifts before and after the summer. How it works: You will be employed on an intermittent basis and receive ongoing requests for work shifts sometimes with short notice (same day), sometimes with longer lead time. You indicate your own availability in our digital booking system, where you can also express interest in specific work shifts. During the summer there is also the possibility of taking pre-booked shifts. Work hours Work shifts are scheduled during day and evening on weekdays and weekends. At the earliest, a work shift can start at 6:30 AM and end no later than 10:30 PM. At certain facilities within functional support, overnight on-call duty is also included, meaning you sleep at the workplace. If you have previous work experience in support and care, there is the possibility to work awake nights. Introduction Before your first work shift, you will be introduced by a supervisor at the workplace, where you will learn work tasks, routines, and service users' needs. You will also complete online training. If medication management is part of your work tasks, you must complete training in medication delegation. 20 position(s). WORK TASKS You always start from what the service user needs and contribute to them feeling good and having a valuable and secure everyday life. Examples of common work tasks: • provide support in daily situations, for example taking walks • assist with showering and toilet visits • cleaning and laundry • distribute medication (primarily relevant in home care and functional support) • health and medical care tasks according to instructions and delegation from a nurse • documentation in administrative systems Elderly care homes and short-term care facilities At elderly care homes and short-term care facilities, there are somatic units and dementia units. You work primarily in a group, but independent work also occurs. Your task is to help care recipients with practical care work based on their needs and organize activities such as outings and board games. Home care and Service unit Within home care, you support care recipients according to their needs in their homes. You perform practical care work independently, but have regular contact with colleagues and coordinators. Sometimes you work in pairs. At the home care service unit, you only perform service tasks, such as shopping, cleaning, and social activities like walks. Functional support Functional support has LSS operations, psychiatric housing, and personal assistance. You work with people who have intellectual, physical, neuropsychiatric, or mental functional variations. The work is carried out either in the care recipient's home or at a residential facility. In addition to practical care work, you provide educational support in daily life, personal care, and create an active daily life based on the individual's needs and circumstances. QUALIFICATIONS Who are you? We are looking for you with previous experience in healthcare and care. You enjoy meeting people, establish contact easily, and have a genuine interest in each individual you meet. With your empathetic ability and respect for integrity, you contribute to a safe and meaningful everyday life for our care recipients. You provide good service, work well with others, and take responsibility for driving the work forward. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Education in healthcare and care is a merit. The work includes documentation and communication with care recipients, colleagues, and other partners, so you need to feel confident in the Swedish language both verbally and in writing. Driver's license Within home care and certain parts of functional support, you need to have a category B driver's license, and in some cases, also be able to drive a manual transmission vehicle. Important to know Before employment can be offered, you need to show a valid extract from the Swedish Police Authority's criminal record register. You order it yourself via the police website.
