The Social Services Department in Stockholm City has an overarching and coordinating role for social services' individual and family care and the disability area. In close collaboration with the district administrations, we contribute to a modern, digital, lawful, equitable, and knowledge-based social service with a strong development focus. Within the department, a wide range of support services are offered to the city's residents, and the range changes based on the needs of Stockholmers and the wishes of the district administrations. The work often takes place in close cooperation with other authorities, civil society, and the business sector. The Social Services Department is also responsible for the city's food service and tobacco permits and conducts inspections. Welcome to us In your role as an investigator, you will belong to the Competence Area for Disability and Social Psychiatry, where 45 people currently work divided into four units. Here, investigators, project managers, administrators, and team leaders work. This position is part of the Competence Center for Disability and Social Psychiatry unit, where 17 employees and one area manager currently work. The assignment also involves cooperation with other departments, authorities, and actors. You contribute to ensuring lawful and knowledge-based working methods and provide support to managers, employees, and other professionals in the city. The position includes monitoring the external environment and developing new guidelines or support materials, participating as an expert, leading networks, conferences, and training. Your work tasks include: Leading city-wide management networks, organizing training, lectures, and workshops Staying updated on the current state of knowledge within social services Planning, implementing, and following up budget assignments Working with development issues together with district administrations/other departments Writing and compiling service statements, responding to motions, letters, and referrals Contributing to knowledge-based development within the field Your competence and experience We are looking for you who have: A completed degree in social work or another academic education that the employer finds equivalent Several years of experience with qualified investigative work within the social services field Several years of experience within the social psychiatry field Very good knowledge of social services, such as current legislation, governing documents, and working methods Experience writing investigations, analyses, reports, referral responses, service statements, or other statements in service Experience working in public operations or a politically governed organization Very good proficiency in Swedish in both speech and writing It is meritorious if you have: Professional experience in social psychiatry both in authority operations and service delivery operations Experience leading assignments or projects, where it will be particularly meritorious with experience organizing network meetings, workshops, and/or conferences Academic further education within the social psychiatry field Knowledge and experience working with implementing new working methods and approaches As a person, you are structured, development-oriented, and have a good ability to independently plan and manage your work efficiently. You easily switch between detail and overall perspectives, have a strong analytical mindset, and can handle complex issues. You enjoy working strategically and driving development within your areas of responsibility. You have good collaboration skills, are communicative, and build trusting relationships by inviting dialogue and cooperation, both internally and externally.
