Welcome to us The Family Support Unit is one of five units within the Children and Youth Area, which is part of the Individual and Family Department. Together we create an easily accessible social service based on residents' needs. The Family Support Unit offers the district's children and their families family treatment services, both those who have been granted assistance and those who receive services without a formal assistance assessment. We continuously develop our working methods and approaches to build trust in relation to the families we meet and also with internal and external partners. Within the Department, work is currently underway to implement Signs of Safety. As Unit Manager for the Family Support Unit, you will have the opportunity to lead a group leader and 17 dedicated family treatment workers in the transition toward the new Social Services Act and further develop high-quality operations with the child's best interests in focus. You will also be responsible for the aftercare project with high accessibility, which consists of four family treatment workers. Your role As Unit Manager, you are part of the management group for the Children and Youth Area and report directly to the Area Manager. You have operational, financial and personnel responsibility for the unit. You lead the unit's work to develop and ensure quality, efficiency and goal achievement. You are responsible for establishing and monitoring the budget and cost efficiency according to the city's rules for financial management, and you are responsible for ensuring a good working environment and that labor laws and agreements are followed. Your competence and experience For this position, we require: Degree in Social Work Current experience from social services work with children and young people We consider the following as advantageous: Current experience with family treatment Management experience Experience of working in a politically governed organization Experience of working with Signs of Safety As a manager and leader in Stockholm City, you are expected to take responsibility for your operations while seeing the bigger picture in planning, actions and decisions. You are development-oriented, work toward goals and focus on results. You work well with other people and relate and communicate with others in a responsive and flexible way.
