Ågrenska is a unique, developmental meeting place and a national competence center for rare diagnoses. We operate activities from a holistic perspective for children, youth, and adults with disabilities, their families, and professionals. Ågrenska is beautifully located on Lilla Amundön, 9 miles south of Gothenburg, and is owned by Ågrenska Foundation, a non-profit organization. In addition to family and adult residential programs, Ågrenska operates short-term stays, daily activities, personal assistance, family support, and courses and trainings. Do you want to be part of developing a unique and rare operation that makes a real difference? We are now looking for a committed and driven unit manager who wants to lead and develop Ågrenska's family and adult residential programs for people living with rare health conditions. Ågrenska's family and adult residential programs are national residential programs for people living with rare health conditions and their families. Through these stays, which complement healthcare services, participants from across the country have the opportunity to gain knowledge, exchange experiences, and meet others in similar situations. During our family stays, parents, siblings, and children with diagnoses have their own programs led by Ågrenska staff and the children's team. Parents are offered lectures and discussions about diagnoses, sibling roles, and social support, while children and youth participate in activities tailored to their needs. About the Position In a fantastic environment, together with a team of committed coordinators and children's team (consisting of educators and nurses, among others), you are responsible for Ågrenska's residential programs that make a real difference for our participants. As unit manager, you work strategically and operationally to develop the operation and have significant opportunities to influence both content and direction. You are responsible for the family and adult residential unit, including staff, finances, and work environment. You lead and drive change and development work to create a flexible and adaptable operation based on new needs and conditions. Through present and engaging leadership, you create a safe and stimulating workplace where employees thrive, develop, and are given opportunities for participation. You also work proactively with competence development to ensure that both the operation and employees are equipped to meet the needs of the target group. The role also includes collaborating with external stakeholders such as regions and building strong networks to continue developing and strengthening the operation's quality. Who Are You? For this position, you need to have: Relevant higher education or university degree, such as social work, behavioral science, healthcare or equivalent At least 3 years of management experience, preferably in disability support, social work, educational activities, or within the region Experience with structured change management and leading operations through development Good experience and knowledge in effective resource planning Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish Very good administrative and digital skills (especially Office 365) If you have experience/knowledge in rare diagnoses, studied social law, or formal management training, that is a major plus.
