Key Responsibilities As a unit manager in Ljusdal Municipality, you will have a varied role with diverse responsibilities. You will work in a team with other unit managers. The position is within the disability services area, Support and Care, and involves responsibility for a day activity operation and a service housing facility. Currently, the day activity is operated as an intrapreneur arrangement; the contract is under review and the future operational model is therefore unclear. You are responsible for budget, personnel, work environment, and operational development. Competency development and values-based questions are natural elements of daily work. In collaboration with other staff, you create an open climate with participation, engagement, and drive quality improvement based on the LSS Act. As a unit manager, you are responsible for planning operations in accordance with applicable legislation and the municipality's goals and policy documents. You provide clear and hands-on leadership characterized by collaboration, coordination, and development. Together with other managers, you drive cross-organizational issues from a holistic perspective. You lead, plan, inform, coordinate, and develop your operational area in line with the Care Board's objectives in a flexible and cost-effective manner. Qualifications We are looking for candidates with a degree in social work, a degree from a social care program, or other equivalent education that includes social law, as deemed equivalent by the employer. Management experience and experience within the disability services field are required. The position as LSS Unit Manager places high demands on your ability to inspire and lead staff groups, drive development work, and create both clarity and participation in the organization. A well-developed ability to motivate employees and establish trusting relationships with staff, service users, and relatives is of central importance. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and confidence working in IT-based operational systems are important prerequisites for success in this role.
