About the Position As a unit manager, you are a central part of the operation and an extension of the operations manager. You combine management with actively participating in daily care work, which means that most of your time you both lead and work closely with staff and service users. By being a role model, you contribute to a positive and safe work environment while ensuring that the operation maintains high quality and follows applicable guidelines. In addition to your duties as a support assistant, some of your regular tasks will be: Support, guide, and coach others in the operation in their daily work Manage time reporting, scheduling, introduction of new staff, and recruitment of temporary workers. Support staff with specific responsibilities and ensure that the operation is properly staffed. Responsibility for invoice handling, purchases, and maintaining the operation's budget. Ensure that documentation, such as implementation plans and risk assessments, follow applicable guidelines. You also participate in coordination meetings and follow up on internal controls in the operation. Contribute with in-depth knowledge within the disability field and develop the pedagogical approach in the operation. Contact with family members and other people around the participant The position is a permanent employment, with possible probation, at approximately 95% with start according to agreement. About You To succeed with this job, we see that you have: At least upper secondary education from a care and nursing program, children and leisure program with a social focus, or other equivalent education Good knowledge of the Swedish language in terms of speech and writing Good computer skills, and can use email, Word, and work in journal systems and other operational systems Very good knowledge of what LSS means and how the law is implemented in practice for self-determination and participation Extensive experience working with this target group and feel comfortable guiding your colleagues Good knowledge of clarifying pedagogy and/or low-affective interaction It is meritorious if you have post-secondary education focused on disability, pedagogy, support pedagogy, or similar. It is also positive if you have knowledge of and have worked from a KASAM (Sense of Coherence) perspective. As a person, you are confident in yourself and take responsibility for your work. About the Recruitment Process Before a possible employment, you must provide an extract from the criminal record register and the suspicion register, as well as valid photo identification. You are responsible for ordering the extract through the Police website. The extract that must be presented is called "Work in the home with elderly and people with disabilities." If you are called for an interview, you need to be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden by presenting that you have EU/EES citizenship or a valid work permit.
