DUTIES As a teaching assistant, you are a key person for students with special support needs in their school day, and you play an important role in supporting and promoting learning and well-being among our students. Your task is to create favorable conditions for students' development and learning, as well as to provide security and structure in their daily lives. You work closely with our teachers and function as a resource in the classroom while providing individual support to individual students. You work to create a positive and secure atmosphere in both the classroom and on the school grounds with the goal of achieving increased independence in the student and reducing the need for support from you as a teaching assistant. In collaboration with other school staff, you work to create the best conditions for students, parents, and colleagues to thrive and feel secure in the school's activities. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who: • Is trained as a teaching assistant or childcare provider. • Has experience working in adapted elementary schools with students in need of special support. • Has experience with low-affect interaction approaches. • Is a competent swimmer. Further, we are looking for someone with a high level of personal maturity who works independently while contributing with strong collaborative skills to a secure and supportive environment for both colleagues and students. You have experience with low-affect interaction approaches and act securely and steadily even in challenging situations. With pedagogical insight, creativity, and attentiveness, you adapt your approach to the students' needs, and through strong responsibility and a positive attitude, you ensure structure, stability, and a professional approach in daily work. In the selection process, we will place great emphasis on personal qualities and experience working in adapted elementary schools.
