Gullhedskolan is a grades F-6 school with after-school care and currently has just over 230 students. The school is located in the center of Järbo and is close to the library, forest, football field, and ice hockey rink. The school focuses on the importance of physical activity and has a beautiful schoolyard that encourages movement. There are several different types of movement courses and planned recess activities led by the school's educators. 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES As a teaching assistant, you work closely with an individual student who needs special support during the school day. The assignment also includes work in after-school activities. You are an important support in the student's daily life and actively work to promote both learning and social development. The goal is to create a safe and developing school environment. The work is conducted in close collaboration with teachers, after-school staff, and guardians. You contribute by: • Supporting the student in teaching and during after-school activities • Working with clarifying pedagogy at group and individual levels • Using visual supports and digital tools to explain and communicate We make each other better by: • Sharing knowledge and experience with colleagues • Creating a safe and accessible learning environment • Being responsive to each student's needs • Working solution-focused and with great commitment QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is confident, responsive, and has an easy time building trust. You meet every student with respect and adapt your support based on their needs and how they're doing on any given day. You see what needs to be done and take initiative to create a functioning daily routine. Through close collaboration with colleagues and guardians, you contribute to a safe and developing learning environment. The assignment requires: • High school diploma • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written Experience with and/or pedagogical training for work with students needing special support is a merit. It is also an advantage to have IT competence and experience using digital tools in pedagogical work.
