The Water and Wastewater unit within the Technology and Leisure Administration of Säffle-Åmål is now seeking two motivated operations technicians for the Water and Wastewater Process department to strengthen our team. About the Operations Water and Wastewater Process is the department within the Water and Wastewater unit that is responsible for operating the unit's water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, and pump stations. To meet increasingly stringent requirements for sustainable, robust, and safe water supply and wastewater treatment, we are now making extensive investments in our facilities and processes. We are now seeking more colleagues who want to be part of managing and developing one of society's most important operations. Work Tasks As an operations technician, you work with the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and water towers in Säffle and Åmål municipalities. The work is performed both independently and together with other technicians within Water and Wastewater Process and in close cooperation with colleagues in the unit's other departments, Water and Wastewater Pipe Networks and Water and Wastewater Laboratory. Work tasks include, among other things: - Process monitoring, process optimization, sampling, and leak detection - Operation, maintenance, and installation of process instruments and machinery equipment - Facility maintenance - Documentation and results monitoring - Participate in project work for renovations and new constructions - Support to other staff as needed and during special events within operations As part of this position, you will also be included in the Water and Wastewater unit's on-call group, which means that approximately every fifth week you have operational responsibility for the municipality's water and wastewater facilities outside of regular working hours. The Water and Wastewater unit's operations are classified as societally critical and are subject to strict legal requirements, which means the work requires great responsibility and thoroughness. Since we work with drinking water, high standards of hygiene and order in daily work are also required. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
