Your Workplace Västerstrand Health Center is located in Våxnäs center, approximately ten minutes from Karlstad with good bus connections. We are part of the southern Karlstad operational area together with Gripen, Tullholmen, Grums, and Skoghall health centers, as well as Värmland Health Center and Jourcentralen Karlstad. We work closely together with specialist physicians, resident and assistant physicians, district nurses, nurses, nursing assistants, healthcare administrators, reception staff, and unit managers. Your Responsibilities As a district nurse with us, you will have varied, independent, and meaningful work. You will work with your own patient clinic, the health center's emergency reception, as well as telephone and digital counseling. You will work together with eight engaged and competent nursing colleagues who support, share knowledge, and collaborate closely. Your Knowledge and Competencies We are looking for you who are a district nurse or nurse who is curious about or has previous diabetes expertise and who enjoys the varied daily routine of primary care. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language. We are looking for a person who meets both patients and colleagues with warmth, engagement, and professionalism. You like structure but also appreciate that no two days are alike. You have the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and see the bigger picture. You can also prioritize your work efficiently. It is an advantage if you have previous experience working at a health center and enjoy combining independent work with close team collaboration. Particularly advantageous are qualifications in diabetes or an interest in this area, as well as further education in, for example, heart failure or asthma/COPD.
