Your Workplace Skoghall Primary Care Center is Värmland's third-largest health center with approximately 50 dedicated staff members. We are located in a picturesque setting in the archipelago municipality of Hammarö – with Lake Vänern and Lillängshamnen just a few minutes away. You will meet a well-functioning team with broad expertise: district physicians, ST-, AT-, and BT-physicians, specialist nurses, psychologists, social workers, pharmacists, nursing assistants, and healthcare administrators. We work closely together as a team and have strong collaboration with Hammarö Municipality, particularly regarding our most vulnerable elderly patients. We are a stable physician group of 9 district physicians and 6 ST-physicians. At our primary care center, we welcome students from various healthcare professions and offer excellent opportunities for research – currently two of our physicians are engaged in research on a part-time basis. We prioritize continuous professional development and hold regular physician forums where we share knowledge and develop together. Your Responsibilities As a district physician with us, you will work in a central and independent role with varied and stimulating tasks. You are responsible for both scheduled consultations and acute interventions, meeting patients of all ages with a broad range of medical issues. The work involves overall responsibility for patients, where continuity, quality, and medical assessments are in focus. You participate in our shared daily on-call duty, which contributes to an even distribution of work, good accessibility for our patients, and a sustainable work environment for the entire physician group. We hold regular physician meetings and you always have good access to collegial support and medical discussions in your daily work. You have good collaboration skills and enjoy working in a team with different professions, where you contribute to a respectful and solution-oriented work climate. You also find it easy to create and maintain trusting relationships with patients, relatives, and colleagues through attentive, professional, and clear communication.
