Our diabetes and endocrinology clinic currently has about 20 employees divided into 4 teams: endocrinology/osteoporosis, diabetes, foot, and our administrative team with medical secretaries and an administrator. Our reception is staffed by our service management Regionservice. In addition, we have doctors with extensive experience. Our goal is for you to work independently with your own specialist clinic while collaborating with the rest of the team. Our diabetes clinic mainly treats patients with type one diabetes or poorly controlled type two diabetes. The work is highly varied and you'll meet patients with different needs; most have technical aids. We also conduct a unique well-functioning specialist maternity care here, where we meet our pregnant diabetic patients regularly as a team together with midwives and doctors. We also have close and good cooperation with our nearby multidisciplinary foot clinic and with the emergency department. As a diabetes nurse, you'll also work with telephone advice through 1177, patient education in self-care treatment, and consultation activities. We also see that you participate in various diabetes networks and contribute to development work with us. For us, it's important that you feel you're developing in your work, and we offer continuous professional development. The position also includes internal training such as pump courses. QUALIFICATIONS You are a licensed nurse with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. Swedish language proficiency equivalent to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale is a requirement. You also have further education or ongoing education in diabetes care, minimum 15 higher education credits. If you have experience with type one and/or type two diabetes, that is a merit.
