The Economics Unit belongs to the Municipal Management Department and provides qualified financial support to all of the municipality's departments. About the role: As a controller with an accounting focus, you are responsible for ensuring quality and structure in the department's financial work. You work both operatively and strategically and are an important support to managers and operations on financial matters. Your responsibilities include: Development of accounting and financial monitoring Quality assurance of accounting processes and procedures Participation in reporting and financial statements Support and advice on finance and management Participation in development and improvement work within finance and administration Who we are looking for: We are looking for someone who is thorough, analytical and has a strong drive to develop and improve financial processes. You have a good understanding of accounting while thriving in a consultative and operationally-focused role. We see that you: Have higher education in economics with a focus on accounting or equivalent Have good knowledge of financial statements, monitoring and financial management Solid competence in accounting Work in a structured and independent manner Speak Swedish fluently, both verbally and in writing It is a merit if you have experience from the public sector and knowledge of municipal accounting. Characteristics: We are looking for someone who is analytical, thorough and structured. You are self-driven, take responsibility for your work and move processes forward efficiently. At the same time, you have good collaboration skills and communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing. You are quality-conscious, solution-oriented and have an interest in developing and improving work methods and procedures.
