JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a building maintenance instructor in the university college program Building Maintenance Interior and Carpentry, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and developing the teaching. The role includes, among other things: • Plan and conduct instruction in both theory and practice within building maintenance and traditional craftsmanship • Teach methods, materials, and techniques related to restoration, interior carpentry, and sustainable construction • Guide students in practical assignments, projects, and thesis work • Participate in developing the curriculum content in dialogue with industry and management • Participate in and follow up on LIA (learning at work) in collaboration with companies and mentors • Work with assessment, follow-up, and documentation of student results • Contribute to a learning environment characterized by quality, professional pride, and sustainability focus • Work with and contribute to applications within the university college You work in close dialogue and collaboration with the education manager and other instructors to ensure high quality and continuity in the education. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who have strong professional expertise in building maintenance and a commitment to passing on craftsmanship knowledge. Qualifications: • Experience in building maintenance, restoration, or fine carpentry • Documented experience of practical work with traditional methods, materials, and techniques • Good pedagogical ability and interest in working with adult students • Ability to plan and structure teaching and create clear learning objectives • Good collaboration skills and willingness to cooperate with industry and colleagues Meritorious: • Teacher training or pedagogical education • Experience teaching in vocational education or university college programs • Broad experience in various craftsmanship techniques (e.g., carpentry, finishing, restoration methods) • Network within the building maintenance industry B-class driver's license is required.
