WORK RESPONSIBILITIES As a building inspector, you play an important role in the urban development process and contribute to a sustainable and safe built environment. You work with handling and supervision within the Planning and Building Act (PBL) and have many contacts with both private individuals, businesses, and other authorities. Your work responsibilities include, among other things: • handling building permits, notifications, and start and completion reports • conducting technical consultations, workplace visits, and final consultations • exercising supervision according to PBL • providing advice and information to applicants and the public • collaborating with colleagues within the municipality and external stakeholders • contributing to the development of working methods and procedures within the department • preparing and presenting cases to the Environment and Building Committee QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who have: • relevant higher education in construction or other education that the employer deems equivalent • good knowledge of the Planning and Building Act (PBL) and associated regulations • experience working as a building inspector or in a similar role is a merit • good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish • Category B driver's license As a person, you are organized, service-oriented, and have good collaboration skills. You work independently, are confident in your professional role, and have a professional and pedagogical approach. The position is a fixed-term employment for one year. Employment form: Fixed-term employment. Duration: 6 months or longer. Please note that Ronneby Municipality has removed the personal letter from the application process.
