Töreboda and Gullspångs municipalities have decided to collaborate in the environmental and building sectors and are in the startup phase of creating a completely new environmental and building operation. The operation is responsible for the municipalities' public authority work in the environmental and building sectors, including the municipalities' work with surveying, maps, and GIS. We are looking for two building permit handlers/building inspectors who together will be responsible for the operation's commitments within the building sector. Work Tasks As a building permit handler/building inspector, you will mainly work with processing advance notices, notifications, building permits, and supervision according to the Planning and Building Act. Your assignment includes providing service through guidance, advice, and information, as well as participating in the municipalities' development work. You will present cases to the environmental and building committee. The positions are combined, which means you work throughout the entire building process, from permit review to technical coordination, site visits, and final approval, and more. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is educated as an architect, civil engineer, building permit handler, or has other education that the employer considers equivalent, and who has work experience in the field. You have strong design and building technical competence and experience in the building sector. You have a strong ability to communicate clearly in speech and writing, are service and solution-oriented with professional and appropriate conduct. You take great personal responsibility and work independently and as part of a team. The position involves extensive contact with building owners, decision-makers, and others, and it is important that you are confident in your official duties and have an open approach and positive attitude. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and the ability to combine the two positions. A driver's license is required. As a building permit handler/building inspector in environmental and building, you can expect a salary between 36,000 - 46,000 kr depending on experience and competence.
