Department of Community Development, Rescue Service, Operations Unit The Rescue Service is looking for you, who are interested in working with the rescue service's internal competency coordination, and participate in an operational role as incident commander and duty officer. Your Assignment In this assignment, you will have both a coordination role and an operational role. In the operational role, you will act as an incident commander and also be able to take on the regional role as a duty officer. As an incident commander, you will lead and coordinate rescue forces at the scene of an incident. As a duty officer, you will lead and coordinate rescue operations from a broader perspective from our command center in Jönköping. In both parts of the operational role, you are expected to have good cooperation with other rescue services and organizations. In the coordination role, you will primarily work with the rescue service's internal competency needs and thereby enable the rescue service's personnel to have the right capabilities to perform their duties operatively, preventatively, and administratively. The role includes developing, planning, and following up on the rescue service's various competencies. As part of the coordination, you will also participate in both exercise planning and exercise activities. Your work tasks in the coordinating role will include: - Planning competency supply in the short and long term for all rescue service operational personnel. - Planning and monitoring the rescue service's internal exercise and training activities. - Planning and monitoring the introduction of new employees. This includes various basic training and driving licenses. - Participation in both exercise planning and exercise activities. - Cooperation, both internally and externally, regarding internal competency matters with other coordinators, organizations, and authorities. Examples include the municipality, RäddSam F, and MSB. Additional areas of responsibility and tasks may be added depending on the organization's needs and your personal interests and competencies. Your Profile - We are looking for someone who has completed Fire Engineer training with RUB, MSB's Management Course 2, or equivalent. - It is meritorious if you have more than one year of operational experience as an incident commander. - It is meritorious if you have MSB's Preventive Supervision A or equivalent. - You must have at least a Class B driver's license. - You must meet the requirements to participate in operational activities. - Great importance is placed on personal suitability. Examples include being responsible, flexible, having good cooperation skills, being outgoing and engaged, and having the ability to take own initiatives. - It is important that you can express yourself well in speech and writing. - You should be comfortable with the computer systems most commonly used in the rescue service. Information About the Employment Terms of employment are regulated by collective agreement. We offer a permanent full-time position by agreement. Individual salary determination applies. In Värnamo Municipality, all permanent full-time positions are advertised. If you prefer part-time and the organization can accommodate a lower employment level, that is of course an option.
