Are you the superhero who gets students to think: "Wait… now I get it!"? Then you're the one we're looking for! We're seeking a certified teacher in mathematics and science, preferably also English, for our middle school. With us, you'll be responsible for teaching these subjects in two classes and share mentoring duties with the Swedish/Social Studies teachers in the classes. Together with the other mentor, you'll welcome a 4th grade class this fall. We're looking for someone who enjoys making instruction comprehensible, inspiring, and safe. Someone who appreciates curious students, thoughtful questions, and days where no two are quite alike. Perhaps you're also used to questions like: "But why do I have to show how I'm thinking?" "Is Pluto a planet or not?" or "Do I really need to know this when I grow up?" Botkyrka Friskola was founded in 1993 and was the first independent school in Botkyrka municipality. We have extensive experience, strong community, and engaged colleagues who genuinely support one another. You'll become part of a wonderful team where we work closely together, share ideas, and support each other in our daily work. We believe in teamwork and that the best conditions for students are created when we adults collaborate closely. Here, the student is always in focus, but no one has to do the job alone. We're seeking you as a certified teacher in mathematics and science, preferably also English, with a relational leadership style. You are clear, warm, and trustworthy in the classroom and believe that good relationships are an important foundation for learning. You enjoy collaborating with colleagues, developing instruction together with others, and contributing to a positive work climate.
