We are now seeking engaged biomedical analysts for an exciting new initiative within Clinical Chemistry, where you will combine technology, quality, and development in a dynamic work environment. Your Workplace Clinical Chemistry at the Central Hospital is part of Laboratory Medicine Värmland. Laboratory Medicine encompasses four specialties: Clinical Chemistry, Transfusion Medicine, Clinical Pathology, and Clinical Microbiology, with the latter two located only at the Central Hospital in Karlstad. Laboratory Medicine is divided into eight units located at three hospitals and 23 health centers, as well as GeBlod Karlstad. Laboratory Medicine is accredited according to ISO 15189. At the Clinical Chemistry unit at the Central Hospital, approximately 70 employees work in a 24/7 operation. Within Clinical Chemistry, the patient-near analysis administration (PNA administration) is under development—an exciting new initiative where we develop and ensure quality of patient-near analyses to guarantee fast and reliable test results in healthcare. Here you will work in a dynamic environment with close collaboration across operational boundaries and the opportunity to influence how the PNA operation grows. We are now seeking three biomedical analysts or individuals with equivalent relevant education who want to be part of shaping the future of patient-near analysis in Värmland. Your Responsibilities As a biomedical analyst within the PNA administration, you will have a central role in developing and advancing the operation. Your responsibilities will include: Service and support of PNA instruments, including contact with suppliers and technical troubleshooting. Development of PNA operations, harmonizing and creating new procedures and implementing them. Training healthcare staff in handling PNA instruments and analysis methods. Methodological or instrumental responsibility for selected analyses and quality assurance of results. Management of IT systems used within PNA, with close collaboration with other system administrations. Your Knowledge and Competencies We are seeking someone who is a licensed biomedical analyst or has equivalent relevant education. Have strong communication skills and enjoy training and supporting colleagues and healthcare staff. Are thorough, organized, and have a quality-conscious approach. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and would like to see that you are curious, proactive, and driven to develop the operation together with your colleagues.
