About the Organization Adult Education is part of Kunskapsförbundet Väst. At the library, you will work alongside an experienced librarian. We offer varied, developmental, engaging, and meaningful work in a fantastic learning environment with wonderful students, from SFI to higher education students. Our organization has four school libraries that operate according to a shared library plan with the goal of supporting students in achieving their academic goals. Our two main responsibilities are to promote reading and to foster students' media and information literacy. The library is part of the school's pedagogical hub and, in collaboration with other staff, we help our students reach their goals. The school library is a pedagogical resource that works alongside our skilled educators on both short and long-term projects. We provide instruction in information searching, source criticism, and reference management. Book talks are an important part of our work—we conduct them in both Swedish and English, and at all levels from SFI to upper secondary courses. Our adult education students study at SFI, primary and secondary levels, vocational courses and programs, and higher vocational education. Does this sound exciting? We welcome your application. Qualifications Higher education degree in library and information science or equivalent librarian education. You are social and outgoing. You have good knowledge of literature. You have knowledge of social media and digital tools. Meritorious Experience with Book-it is meritious but not required. For success in this position, we believe that you are positive, engaged, and responsible. enjoy working in teams. are skilled at building good relationships with staff and students. are comfortable speaking to groups in both Swedish and English. have worked at a library before—preferably at a school library.
