About the Position The position involves pedagogical work in grades 4-6 of elementary school with class teacher responsibilities and instruction primarily in Swedish and mathematics; broad subject expertise is desirable. We are open to trying new ideas so that students have a learning, varied, exciting, fun, meaningful, and stimulating experience. You will have the opportunity to work with other educators to continuously develop and transform our activities. At Bergfoten School, we work with shared mentorship, which means you will share responsibility with your closest colleagues for all students in a grade level. Reading is at the center of what we do. We know that secure and joyful reading development is the foundation for all learning. Therefore, we actively work with evidence-based tools such as LegiLexi to strengthen students' language awareness, reading fluency, and reading comprehension. Permanent position at 100%, monthly salary, start date August 10. We conduct interviews on an ongoing basis and the position is published with the reservation that it may be filled by surplus staff within the scope of ongoing reorganization. Who Are You? You hold a teaching license with qualifications to teach grades 4-6, primarily in Swedish and mathematics (social studies), and ideally in additional subjects. You are well versed in the curriculum and work actively based on it. You express yourself well in speech and writing. You build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues and foster engagement and participation. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work and see opportunities in change. You have strong pedagogical insight with an understanding of how students acquire knowledge based on different conditions. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
